Siff Uptown gets five star because of the quality of the films shown and it is easy to get to via public transportation. This is the place to see art house, foreign, vintage and documentary films. The seats are not up to date, but that is not a priority for me compare the films.

I had a lovely time here attending the SIFF cinema film festival. We saw Sono Lino and it blew us away. The theater itself is very well run, this time with volunteers. The snack selections are better than I thought they’d be with fresh popcorn, beverages, and all the candies you could think of. There’s more than one screen in here and it’s bigger than it looks from the outside. Parking is atrocious, but if you get lucky, you can find one of the street parking or paid lots, which I’ve never seemed to be able to find. Dick’s drive in is right across the street for a quick meal or snack before the show.

I haven't had such a classic movie experience in so long. The staff were really friendly and the popcorn is amazing as well!! It's a cute local theatre. I'd come back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

I've been going to the Uptown theater for over two decades! It's an oldie but a goodie. I miss the Harvard Exit and the Egyptian theaters. I love going here because it feels so nostalgic, reminiscent of old Seattle, and the popcorn and concession stand are great. The staff is quite nice, though the surrounding areas aren't that appealing. I often sneak in a Dick's burger! Every movie I've watched here has been a joy, making my trips to the movies truly enjoyable.

One of the best cinemas in Seattle! Amazing film selection with a great mix of indie films, international picks, and classics. The equipment’s a bit dated, but the vibe is unbeatable with fairly priced concessions. Love the $6 Monday deal. A true local gem.

A fantastic theater and great venue for the film festival. I'm very glad that SIFF has this location. They play many first run movies and indies. Employees and volunteers are always nice. We were there to see the Animation4Adults show.

SFFSFF was amazing! The theater gets warm, so dress lightly. Popcorn was fresh and delicious.

Old school, local theater. Apparently a Seattle tradition and reminiscent of old Seattle which is cool. Especially cool because every time I move somewhere or visit somewhere new, everyone says “this place/ city used to be so much better”. Maybe folks have always said that, maybe it’s part of the plague of being 30 in 2025.
